Serial Entrepreneur
Local Advocate
Brian Nutt is a serial entrepreneur whose career began in technology startups before shifting his focus to investing in and acquiring strong, family run companies after his last exit. His journey took a pivotal turn in 2018, following the sale of his software company, Codigo, to out of town Private Equity.
"We protect the wealth, talent and goodwill of family-run companies by working to keep their business, people and partners intact through a transition of ownership."
After Brian sold his software company to an out-of-town private equity firm, the local office eventually closed and the work moved elsewhere. TTUN was built to offer owners a local alternative.

TTUN Ventures invests in and acquires strong companies and supports strong operators. We also offer readiness guidance and introductions to investment bankers, business brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and lending partners.
We work directly with owners interested in lowering their operating commitment or transitioning out of the business entirely. Because Brian has sat in the seller's seat, we understand that legacy is important to regional family businesses. We invest with a long term buy and hold strategy and a goal to grow with the team in place by adding tools and resources that best suit the business.
TTUN Ventures invests its own capital, local capital, in established businesses within 250 miles of Louisville, KY. We do not use SBA loans. We back an operator to lead the business day to day, with TTUN supporting the operator and the team.
A first discussion can be exploratory. We know selling is more than a transaction, and no documents are needed up front.
